Rod Action

Action refers to the amount of bend a rod has when pressure is applied to the tip.

Extra Fast –The rod only bends at the tip.

Fast – The rod will bend in the top third or less of the rod blank.

Moderate Fast – A blend between Fast and Moderate actions, the rod will bend between the top third and half of the rod.

Moderate – The rod will bend in the top half of the rod blank.

Slow – The rod will begin to bend in the lower third of the rod blank.

Line Rating

The line test strength in which the rod is rated for.

Description

The PENN® Carnage™ III rods are truly in a class of their own. Our SLC2 blank construction on inshore models houses inner spiral carbon wraps and outer layers of longitudinal carbon fibers to provide an extremely strong, yet balanced rod. Spec’d with high-end components like Fuji® K-Guides, Sea-Guide® and Fuji® reel seats, and Hypalon/Rubber Shrink tube handles, this rod will be anglers’ next go-to workhorse.
